The Rechberg thinks and acts sustainably!
In addition to the tree seedling distribution campaign carried out in March 2024 together with the municipalities of Fladnitz an der Teichalm and Semriach and the operation of the advance vehicles with synthetic, sustainable fuel as part of the 2025 event, the organizing committee of the Rechbergrennen is setting another milestone for sustainability:
In cooperation with the market town of Passail, the specialist car company Lembacher and the Almenland climate and energy model region, the number of electric vehicles in the eCar sharing project in Passail has been doubled:
As of now, two electric vehicles – a brand new FORD Explorer (“Reini”) and the tried and tested E – Golf (“Hans”) – are waiting to be borrowed and used.
In this way, the organizing committee of Rechbergrennen GmbH supportsCO2-neutral local transport and can thus offset part of the greenhouse gas emissions caused by the competition vehicles during the event.
The Grand Prix of Austria thus confirms its leading role throughout Europe in terms of sustainability.
