Grand Mountain Prize of Austria – Rechbergrennen <\/em><\/h3>\n\n

The Rechbergrennen <\/em>, which has been held on the Rechberg in the Almenland region since 1972 and is one of the most important motorsport events in Austria, will be breaking new ground from 2023:<\/p>\n\n

A newly founded organizing committee around the three shareholders, Peter Eibisberger, Christian Ferstl and Mario Klammer has taken over the responsibility and has set itself a remarkable goal in addition to an extensive professionalization of the event itself:<\/p>\n\n

Together with the AMF (Austrian Motorsport Federation – the national representative organization of the world sports federation FIA), the Austrian Mountain Grand Prix is run as a pilot project on the subject of “sustainability in grassroots motorsport”:<\/p>\n\n

“We want to and must evaluate the event in terms of climate protection, develop and implement ways to reduceCO2<\/sub> – so that we can continue to pursue our passion, hill climb racing, with a clear conscience in 10 years’ time and beyond,” say Werner Faustmann and Ewald-Marco M\u00fcnzer, who are part of the organizing committee as sustainability officers.<\/p>\n\n

In line with this objective, a master plan is being developed with the goal of “net zero 2025”, with the focus on the following areas in the 2024 host year:<\/p>\n\n
