The Rechbergrennen is also the most sustainable racing event of the European Mountain Championship in 2026!<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability and motorsport go hand in hand at the Rechbergrennen. Since 2023, the organizer has been pursuing a voluntary sustainability initiative with the aim of offsetting the event’s direct emissions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A visible sign of this are the 1,000 trees planted along the race track, which in the long term will absorb more than the approximately 11 tons of CO\u2082 emissions from the racing cars per event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with the market town of Passail and the Almenland climate and energy model region, an eCar sharing project was also run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concept is complemented by escort vehicles powered by eFuel from NORDOEL and a consistent regional supply during the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rechbergrennen thus demonstrates that modern motorsport can take responsibility for the environment and the region while at the same time offering a special experience for drivers and fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
